Episode 40: When you feel like you've "done all the work," and the relationship still hasn't happened.

I met Jeanne Grabowski in one of the most tumultuous times of your life. I've spoken of said time on the podcast— it happens to be one of the most popular episodes. As with all periods where we feel like our lives couldn't get any worse, Jeanne was a gift. She gave me strength and carried me in ways I wasn't able to carry myself. Since then, our relationship and friendship has blossomed into so much more.

I wanted to have her on the podcast because, like many, she found herself in her later 30s, having done much personal development work, coaching and therapy sans relationship. She wondered, deeply, what was really going down and if it was all worth it.

This episode will resonate with anyone who:

  • Feels exhausted by the work they've done on themselves

  • Wonders why all the work they feel they've done hasn't translated to something greater–namely in the form of relationship

  • How to look more deeply inward— get more honest with ourselves—when we've reached said points

Jeanne gets into all of what that looked like for her—including a major move, coming more deeply into her body, and shifts in her work. This is definitely an episode I'm taking notes from myself!
